Hi! this is my second post, and my first smart one.
Lets get one thing straight. I LOVE CODES. It is my newest hobby. They are so much fun, so I decided to do a little research on them. I won't bore you with the details. Just kidding!
First of all, what I am going to show you are NOT codes. A code is where each word is substituted by another word. For instance, to say sneaky, you might say cat, and friendly might be dog. Most codes have no rhyme or reason, but you can make your own code anyways.
I am going to show you some ciphers. A cipher is like a word puzzle. You mix up the letters in a word, or replace them for symbols. I will show you some standard ciphers, and how to make your own. Enjoy!
The most standard cypher.
The following is the cipher we are cracking.

I know what you are thinking. All I see is gobledy-gook. No pictures.
Well, don't worry. All we did here is replace each letter with the one before it. Nothing trickey. If you wanted, you could replace each letter with the one after it. Or the one that is 2 befor it. You get my point.

You think you know about ciphers do you? I'll prove you wrong. I will tell you what 1 letter is, and you crack the code. Simple? Let's see. When I write "R", it means "Q"

Give up? I never said I'd use the same type of cipher.

See all those colors? The consonants are blue, and the vowels are yellow. That is the trick to this code. For each consonant, you use the next consonant, which is not necessarily the next letter. So while B becomes C, D becomes F. And for each vowel, you use the next vowel, which is NEVER the next letter. You would write out the key to the code like this.
Vow: +1, Con: +1
So "VJI LIZ OT VJI LIZ" becomes "THE KEY IS THE KEY"
You can personalize this code by changing the amount that each letter is moved.
Vow: +2, Con: -1 would mean that you change each vowel to the second vowel from it, and each consonant to the consonant before it.
